The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has released new projections on the global meat market, predicting record beef exports of 12.3 million tons in 2024. This is despite a decrease in beef production in Argentina and the United States. The majority of the increase in production will be in Brazil and Australia, with China and India also contributing. However, falling beef imports in China are expected to negatively impact global meat trade, with major suppliers seeking alternative markets. Southeast Asia and the Middle East are anticipated to see strong demand in 2024.
