I don’t much like blowing dirt and we have had a lot this spring, so during an especially bad week, add that to my other thoughts and I came up with this. Be safe out there and hang on to your dirt. Since then, too cool for sprouting seeds, Placed carefully in a row. The ground is still below the temp, Where everything will grow. So many nights, so many days, We get a freeze then thaw. The fields are ‘bout as free of lumps, As I have ever saw. And now the wind, oh my the wind, It blows hard every day. Branches scattered in the yard As trees both rock and sway.
