Yeongwang County (County Head Jang Se-il) recently announced that it is swiftly pushing forward a 'preemptive stabilization plan' to stabilize the supply and demand of forage in response to the anticipated difficulties in securing feed for livestock farmers due to the delay in rice harvest caused by frequent rainfall. The rainfall in Yeongwang area from September to October this year totaled 337.8 mm, the highest in the past three years. This has led to difficulties in harvesting straw, and the county anticipates a decrease in straw production due to these weather conditions, prompting an urgent response.
