(Hoengseong=Yonhap News) Reporter Im Bo-yeon = Hoengseong County announced that its export delegation visited Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) for Hoengseong Hanwoo exports to the Middle Eastern market and held a 'Hoengseong Hanwoo Middle East Market Promotion Event' on the 30th.
County Mayor Kim Myung-gi and the export delegation from Hoengseong KC and Cheonga Good Food held a promotional event at the Saint Regis Hotel restaurant with around 40 local buyers and media personnel in attendance.
The event began with an introduction video of Hoengseong Hanwoo, presentations on halal certification and production processes, followed by explanations and a showcase of beef cuts.
Particularly during the tasting session, the attending buyers were impressed, expressing amazement at the tender, juicy Hoengseong Hanwoo.
Mayor Kim Myung-gi stated, "Hoengseong Hanwoo is a top-tier premium beef brand raised in the pristine Hoengseong region, earning high consumer trust" and "We will widely promote the value of Hoengseong Hanwoo, which undergoes scientific livestock management, safe slaughtering, and processing to develop new markets."
The export delegation had previously visited the Dubai Emirates Mall to investigate the sales status of Japanese and Australian Wagyu.
They closely examined the pricing of premium Wagyu cuts, distribution methods, quality levels, and confirmed consumer preferences for beef grades and marketing approaches.
Earlier, Hoengseong Livestock Cooperative participated in the 'K-Food Fair' at the Dubai Jumeirah Bitsy Exhibition Center last month and signed an MOU with TU Holdings Group, which has established various distribution networks including Korean food specialty supermarkets, for Hoengseong Hanwoo exports to the Middle East.
