【Yeongwol】The Yeongwol National Forest Management Office announced on the 14th that, in collaboration with Korea Southern Power Co., Ltd. and the National Forest Forestry Team, they have planted 1,500 pine trees in the area of Sangdong Deokguri (0.5 hectares). Furthermore, this year, they plan to plant broad-leaved trees and Milwonsu Akashi, which have excellent growth, in 36 hectares of forest land to achieve carbon neutrality, aiming to enhance economic benefits and increase residents' income, thereby creating a symbiotic relationship with the local community. In particular, through systematic forest creation, the plan is to increase the economic value of the forest and create local jobs. Yeongwol National Forest Management Office Director O Tae-bong said, "Planting trees is the most certain investment for future generations and the revitalization of the local community," and added, "We will do our best to increase the economic and public value of the forest."
