Yesan County announced that it will hold the '15th Republic of Korea Maeju Grand Prize' on November 1 at the Yesan Culture Center. This is the first time the county is solely hosting the event, and it is expected to become a national festival to revitalize the traditional liquor industry and culture. The 'Republic of Korea Maeju Grand Prize' is a competition where individuals submit their own traditional liquors to compete for excellence, co-hosted and organized by the Korea Traditional Liquor Research Institute (Representative Park Nokdam) and Yesan County, with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the Cultural Heritage Administration, the Chungcheongnam-do Province, the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, and others.
