Argentina: Yerba mate exports grow almost 10% in the first half and reach a new record

This is reflected in the latest report prepared by the National Yerba Mate Institute (INYM), which details that foreign sales of yerba mate during the first half of 2024 totaled 20,751,278 kilos; That is, 9.6% more than shipments in the same period of 2023. Regarding imports, the survey specifies that Argentine purchases from neighboring countries, Brazil and Paraguay, began to decrease significantly in recent months. While during the month of April 1,869,198 kilos entered the country, in May the figure dropped to 1,026,218 kilos and in June to 433,750 kilos, showing a clear downward trend.
