In recent years, China's coffee industry has entered a golden period of development. Yunnan, leveraging its natural geographical advantages and the added value brought by the entire industrial chain upgrade, has seen its export scale accelerate growth. According to statistics from the Kunming Customs, in the first 11 months of this year, Yunnan's coffee and its products were exported for 840 million yuan, ranking first in the country. Among them, Yunnan Baoshan small-bean coffee, with its unique flavor of "rich but not bitter, fragrant but not strong, slightly fruity," has become a bright business card in the international coffee market. In the factory area of Baoshan Gaolaozhuang Agricultural and sideline Products Development Co., Ltd., a batch of small-bean coffee beans weighing 19.2 tons, after inspection and clearance by the Tengchong Customs under the Kunming Customs, is about to be shipped to Malaysia. "This year, we have already exported a cumulative 124 tons of coffee beans, covering multiple countries and regions including Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore," said Gao Jie, the person in charge of the enterprise. "The guidance from the customs has helped us successfully open up overseas sales channels, and now the orders are becoming increasingly stable." Quality is the core to win the international market. The Tengchong Customs proactively connects with the needs of enterprises, implementing measures such as "one industry, one policy" and "one enterprise, one policy" to assist enterprises in establishing a complete production and quality inspection system. At the same time, a coffee quality inspection team has been established to conduct pesticide residue testing and pest and disease monitoring in planting bases, guiding enterprises to establish a "geographical indication + organic certification" quality control system, comprehensively enhancing the international market recognition and brand competitiveness of Baoshan small-bean coffee. Entering the workshop of Yunnan Jinglan Tropical Crops Science and Technology Co., Ltd. in Longyang District, Baoshan City, the rich aroma of cold-extracted coffee surrounds the slight hum of the machines. Fully automatic canning equipment is precisely filling coffee liquid into low-temperature extraction cans, which are then made into cold-extracted powder through freeze-drying technology. "This year, we independently developed 17 kinds of coffee products, including cold-extracted coffee, and realized our first export, which is now being sold in 5 countries including Russia, Jordan, and Malaysia," introduced Fan Bo, the general manager of Yunnan Jinglan Tropical Crops Science and Technology Co., Ltd. In the first 11 months, the value of exported coffee and its products monitored by the Tengchong Customs was 3432.5 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 33.3%, exported to 11 countries and regions including Singapore, Vietnam, Russia, and Indonesia; 4.4 tons of deep-processed coffee products such as freeze-dried coffee and instant coffee were exported, achieving a "zero breakthrough" in coffee product exports.
