Chilean cherry harvest is estimated to be 6.6% higher

Chilean cherry acreage is projected to be 61,599 hectares in 2022/23 and the cherry harvest in the following year is expected to yield 500,000 tons, reflecting a 6.6% increase from the previous year. Chilean cherry exports are predicted to reach 444,000 tons, representing a 7.2% increase, assuming regular yields and expanded planted area. Additionally, the peach and nectarine harvest in 2023/24 is expected to reach 162,500 tons, a 1.6% increase from 2022/23, and exports are anticipated to increase by 2.3% to 106,400 tons based on expected yields and a slight expansion in acreage.
