The Peruvian grape continues with its good start to the global season

While blueberry shipments are below expectations, another of the main products in the Peruvian agro-export basket is surprising this campaign, grapes. Just a month and a half after starting the campaign for this fruit, Peru has already exported 40,680 tons, which has been 172% more than last year's campaign. In the last week alone, shipments of the product totaled 16,530 tons, surpassing the barrier of 15,000 tons exported, which last season could only be seen after two months of having started. This week, Peruvian grapes reached 28 destinations, of which three concentrated 71% of all shipments. These were the United States, with 41% participation, the Netherlands, with 18%, and Mexico, with 12%. 6,799 tons of fresh Peruvian grapes were exported to the North American country, 4 times more than what was recorded in the same week last year.
