Rights to Thai Durian (Mar 23)
Mr. Rapiphat Chantarasriwong, Director-General of the Department of Agriculture, revealed to "Economic Base" that according to the policy of Ms. Mananya Thaiset, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, 8 Department of Agriculture plant inspection checkpoints across the country have been ordered to strictly inspect and control the import and export of durian by the Plant Quarantine Act B.E. 2507 (1964) and its amendments. It includes inspection of the import-export of frozen durian for quality control and to prevent the problem of wearing Thai durian rights.
