The slumped of cassava demand in China led to the decline of global import

The import value of cassava in China has been on a downward trend since 2016. It could be seen that cassava has become less desirable in China. In the 5 years period, China has been importing less cassava from its top exporters, namely Thailand and Vietnam, by showing a 65.8% and 84.02% decline in 2019, respectively. As the global largest importer of cassava, the slumped of cassava in China brought the decline of global import in 2019.
