The price of avocados in the United States increased by 114.9% YOY. In February 2022, the cost of avocados stood at 6.49 USD per KG, compared to the same month in the previous year when the price was 3.02 UDS per KG. Since the start of 2022, the price of avocado increased by 22.5%, reaching 7.29 USD per KG on the last week of February. The latest price increase is mainly attributed to a supply shortage caused by the import ban of Mexican avocados.
