Russia sold mandarins for 1.69 USD/KG in mid-November 2021 which was worth 1.50 USD/KG in the same period last year. Previously, mandarin was hit an all-time high of 2.21 USD/KG in October 2021. The increase in prices was driven by high demand in Russia. Another factor is the high price of mandarin in their origin country, Turkey, as Russia's main exporter. Mandarin Tangerine – Nova variety even sold twice in Turkey for 0.45 USD/KG in mid-November 2021.
