The intelligence gap

The data exists. It just isn’t comparable.

Everyone in agri-food trade is reading the same public datasets. What separates a defensible answer from a guess is whether the numbers underneath were classified the way the market actually trades.

1 code

One HS code, many markets

HS 0804.50 covers mango, guava and mangosteen. Aggregated trade data for that code cannot tell you what happened to mango.

65M+

Prices that don’t line up

Wholesale, farmgate and import prices arrive in different units, currencies and grades. Comparing them is the work.

725,009+

One company, six spellings

The same exporter is filed differently in every customs system it appears in. A name string is not an identity.

12+ yrs

History you can’t line up

Long series are only useful if the classification underneath held still. Most didn’t.

The Tridge ontology

Two things have to be resolved before any of this is analysable: the product, and the company.

Everything downstream — a price series, a supplier shortlist, a competitor’s import volume — depends on those two being right. Tridge maintains its own classification for both, and normalises every dataset onto it.

What you get

Four ways to read a market. One classification underneath all of them.

Most teams already have a data subscription. What they do not have is a way to move between the market, the companies inside it, the news moving it and where the price is heading — without re-deriving the product each time.

SHELF · MARKET

What the market did

Wholesale, farmgate and import prices across 65M+ records. Transaction-level trade over 200+ markets and 12+ years, by origin, destination and month.

  • Price benchmarking by origin and spec
  • Region, seasonality and weather at origin

COMPANY ANALYTICS

Who is actually in it

725,009+ resolved companies, each with its own trade ledger analysed: what it ships, where, to whom, at what unit price, and how that has moved.

  • Export & import value by product, country, counterpart
  • Shipment-level FOB and CIF unit prices

What is moving it

Personalised feeds of reports on price movement, trade policy, climate and production — tagged to the same products and countries.

ECHO · BETA

Where the price is heading

Import price forecasts by product and route, built on the same 682M+ transaction base. In Beta — read it as a forecast, not a promise.

  • By product, exporting and importing country
  • Sits next to the history it was built from

AI Curation

Ask in plain language. AI Curation assembles a board of prices, trade flows, suppliers and news — and tells you what each section is for and how it corroborates the others.

How it works

From a question to a defensible answer.

01

Ask

Describe the market you care about in plain language — product, origins, destination, what you are deciding.

02

Assemble

AI Curation builds sections of prices, trade flows, suppliers, news and weather from the modules that fit the question.

03

Cross-check

Each section states what its data is for and which other section corroborates it. The reasoning stays attached to the answer.

The Tridge difference

Not a data vendor. A classification you can reason on.

The datasets are largely public. What is not public is a classification built for how agri-food actually trades — and a company identity resolved across the systems that file it differently.

Who it’s for

Five jobs, one platform — because they are all the same question asked from a different seat.

What is this product worth, who is moving it, and what is about to change? A buyer, a seller, an analyst and a trade agency all need that answer. What differs is what they do with it.

Questions

Tridge Eye, answered.

What is Tridge Eye?

Tridge Eye is a market intelligence platform for agri-food trade. It covers 200+ markets with 682M+ trade data points and 65M+ price records, all classified on Tridge’s own product and company ontology, and it assembles them into decision-ready boards through AI Curation.

Why do mango, guava and mangosteen share the same HS code?

HS 0804.50 was written to collect tariffs, and those three fruits attract the same duty. They do not share a season, a buyer, a price or a supply risk, so aggregated data for that code cannot describe any one of them. Tridge classifies each as its own market.

Is Tridge Eye just a dashboard on public data?

The datasets are largely public; the classification is not. Tridge maps every price, transaction, tariff, weather and news record onto its own item-level ontology and resolves company identity across customs sources — which is what makes the series comparable in the first place.

How is this different from a commodity data terminal?

Terminals are built for exchange-traded contracts. Most agri-food trade is not exchange-traded — it is physical, specified by grade and origin, and priced bilaterally. Tridge Eye is built for that: origin prices, transaction-level flows, and the companies actually shipping.

Does Tridge Eye cover my product?

8,308 product markets are published today, across 6,500+ categories. Coverage is deepest in fresh produce, grains, oilseeds, dairy, coffee, cocoa and seafood, and thinner in highly processed and private-label goods. Search your product before you decide — the free pages show exactly what exists.

Do I need an account to see anything?

No. Every market overview page, market curation and Speaker report is readable without signing in. An account adds bookmarks, following, your own company profile and report quota; company-level profiles and some price columns stay masked until then.
