Brazilian Melons Reached Higher Prices in First Weeks of 2022

Wholesale melon prices in Rio Grande do Norte State were up +26.41% YoY and sold at USD 0.34 per kg in early January 2022. Other markets in Paraiba were up +17.62% YoY and melons were priced at USD 0.35 per kg at the beginning of 2022. Given the high demand for melons in Europe, melons managed to be sold more expensively in the market.
