Tomato Price in Tajikistan Collapse by 42% WoW on Strong Import Supply

There is an ongoing rapid decline in prices for tomatoes in the Tajik market. The wholesale price for greenhouse tomatoes has reached an incredibly low level of USD 0.26/kg in week 25. The decrease represents a price collapse of 42% WoW. The price fall is due to the Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan tomato imports that have flooded the Tajik market over the last couple of months.
