An increase prices in the first quarter of 2021 compared to last year's period will most likely affect shipments to the US in general. The US global mango import price decreased gradually from 0.52 USD per Lb to 0.44 USD per Lb in April 2021. However, the imported mango price in the first quarter of 2021 was still higher than last year. The demand from the US also risen significantly from 93.1 thousand Lbs to 144.6 thousand Lbs. Mexico and Guatemala were expected to benefit from increased demand from the US market, while exports from Peru fell by more than 8% over the same period.
