The wholesale price of Black pepper in Brazil rose by +12.69% YoY. The price hit the highest record in W5 June 2021 at 6.49 USD per KG 2021 (+77% YoY) then slowly decreased to 5.33 USD per KG in W3 Dec 2021. Demand for Brazilian Black Pepper has experienced positive growth, caused by the re-opening of restaurants and bakeries. In early 2021, Brazilian black pepper faced severe droughts, making production slow and leading to high prices in June 2021. Despite this, output production of black pepper in Brazil is estimated to increase due to more plant recoveries. Low prices in late-2021 will attract more earnings in the Brazilian black pepper export to the importers for the next season.
