In W39 in the peanut landscape, the peanut harvest has commenced in the Northern Hemisphere, with delays caused by late rains in various production regions. In India, peanut prices remained stable, impacted by adverse weather affecting early-planted peanuts but with expectations of better yields from late-planted crops. Brazil witnessed a 10% price increase driven by export demand, particularly from Russia, although price stabilization or a decrease is anticipated as Northern Hemisphere harvests begin. China experienced a notable 16% price surge due to heavy rains during the harvest period and increased holiday demand, but this spike may prove temporary due to expected post-holiday market dynamics and the ongoing harvest.

Mexican farmers in Jiquipilas, Chiapas, are expressing concerns about the scarcity of rain, which could result in low peanut and corn production due to the dry conditions. The absence of expected rainfall in July, August, and September poses a significant threat to crop production as insufficient water leads to underdeveloped crops and reduced yields. Farmers fear that the limited production could drive up the cost per ton and are seeking support from Mexican authorities, such as the rural secretariat, to provide subsidies to address this water scarcity-induced problem.

Osmaniye, Turkey, has commenced its first harvest of geographically indicated registered peanuts. Local farmers express contentment with this year's peanut yield and are optimistic that prices will align with their expectations. Osmaniye contributes roughly 40% of the nation's overall output and hosts 98% of processing activities. Farmers are achieving robust yields, ranging from 350 to 500 kilograms (kg) per decade, and anticipate prices around USD 2.18/kg (TRY 60/kg), although official pricing remains pending.
