In W43 in the oats landscape, farms in Russia's Amur region completed the harvest of early grain crops, gathering 450.3 thousand metric tons (mt), marking a significant increase of nearly 46% compared to the previous year's harvest. Oats were harvested from 19.11 thousand hectares (ha). Meanwhile, during the first nine months of 2023, the Rosselkhoznadzor Office in the Republic of Bashkortostan inspected 7,241 shipments of grain and grain processing products to various countries, including the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the European Union (EU), the CIS, and China. This included 630 mt of oats.
Russian grain product exports to China have significantly increased in 2023, surpassing the levels from the same period in 2022 by more than threefold and already exceeding the total 2022 exports by 85%. China now ranks among the top five countries importing Russian grain. The primary products shipped include soybeans, peas, corn, flax seeds, rapeseed, barley, and oats.
Stocks of grain crops in Russian procurement and processing organizations have grown by 15.3% year-on-year (YoY). However, there have been reductions in oat stocks, from 215,800 mt to 177,400 mt.
In Brazil's Rio Grande do Sul, the white oat harvest intended for grain production has reached over 60%. Although the crop is progressing rapidly towards the end of its cycle, the grain quality is subpar this season due to high humidity. As a result, a significant portion of the product will be used for animal feed.
