Russian seafood production increased by 9% in the first 11 months of 2023, reaching about 4.1 million metric tons. The production of frozen fish, fish fillets, cooked and canned fish, and crustaceans also saw significant increases compared to 2022. Despite a record year in terms of catch, the pollock industry saw a lower export value in 2023, and the country is facing a new U.S. ban on exports covering salmon, cod, pollock, and crab.
