Sweet cherry production and prices both increase in Gaziantep, Turkey

Sweet cherry production keeps increasing in Gaziantep with the production areas reaching 2,000 hectares within the city borders. The expected production yield for the season is around 2 kmt which almost tripled last season's production yield of 750 tons.

The current farm gate price is around 1.5 - 2.2 USD per kg and the growers are delighted with the quality of the production.

1.2 kmt of all products will be sold to export markets such as Germany, Russia, Norway, and Italy.
