Egypt's tomato prices rose to USD 198.019 per metric ton (mt) in Apr-25, up from USD 99.009/mt in Feb-25, marking a 100% month-on-month (MoM) rise. This increase was driven by high domestic consumption during the Eid El-Fitr and Sham El-Nesim festivals, coupled with weak export demand.
