Bulgarian poultry farmers are expecting to have quantities enough to meet the domestic demand for chicken meat and especially chicken eggs during the Easter holiday. Domestic consumption is expected to increase and Bulgarian farmers are prepared to meet the demand.
Bulgarian poultry products are mostly exported to Greece where the Covid-19 situation is harsher where restaurants and hotels are directly affected which halted all their poultry imports from Bulgaria.
At the same time, chicken meat imports are expected to be at a very low level amid local farmers and industrial associations motivating consumers to purchase national production.
