Perilla leaves exported from Vietnam to Korea

Perilla leaf is an aromatic herb with a spicy taste. The leaves can be eaten raw or cooked and contain high nutritional value. The Perilla tree can easily be grown without the use of chemical fertilizers, which is environmentally friendly. Perilla leaf harvest time lasts about 7-8 months, yield reaches 8-12 tons/month/ha in Vietnam. The Perilla leaves are exported to the Korean market at a price of around 0.95-1.30 USD per kg.
