Major fruit importers in Indonesia indicate that their import quota applications are gradually being received on WK 4-5 in February. Although still not ideal, the timing is more palatable this year. It coincides with the end of the lunar new year celebration, a period with plenty of imports, mainly mandarins oranges.

Apples, grapes, pears, oranges, dates will still dominate variants to complement arrays of local tropical fruits such as banana, papaya, local orange 'jeruk,' melon, watermelon, mango. The amount of import of exotic products such as peaches, plums, and berries will not be large in 2022. It is still a question whether there will be a new addition to the list of countries which agree with the Indonesian government to export their fruits. At the same time, 2022 might see new, improved regulations introduced to simplify import quota bureaucracy.
