The export value of Ugandan priority commodities (Coffee, Tea, Fish, Dairy, Maize and Meat) increased from USD 964M to USD 1,257M in the 2021/22 season up 30% YoY. This is attributable to the government inspecting and issuing compliance certificates to 2,145 coffee traders and processors hence enforcing and adhering to quality market requirements. The authorities also issued veterinary establishment numbers to 30 production and processing facilities. The government further negotiated and established new formal dairy export destinations in Zambia, Rwanda and Algeria.
