The Peruvian broad bean is one of the least known products in the Peruvian agro-export basket, but it had an increase in both value and volume during 2022. With 3,440 tons exported at a cost of US$ 4.9 million, the volume exported increased by 23% and its price by 20% compared to 2021. And although it is an important growth rate, the product has not yet managed to recover the values of 2020, when 3,500 tons were exported for US$ 6.2 million. Regarding the main destinations of the product, the United States, for another year, remained the most important market for Peruvian broad beans, importing 911 tons worth US$ 1.7 million, figures that represented 26% and 36% of the volume and total value, respectively. In second place, Ecuador was located with an imported volume valued at US$ 845,000, equivalent to 17% of the total.
