The Incheon Fisheries Resources Research Institute has released 100,000 young perch into the waters around Hwangsan Island as part of ongoing efforts to restore fishery resources and boost income for fishermen. The young perch were bred for 150 days at the Korea South-East Power's Yeongheung Development Headquarters fish farm. Since 2005, the institute has released over 1.68 million juvenile sea bass into the waters of Incheon. This year, the institute plans to produce and release a total of 3.65 million fish seeds of seven species, including blue crab and blue crab am.
