In March, Brazil once again claimed the title as the largest beef exporter in the world, shipping over 203,490 tons, a 28% increase from the previous year. This performance positions Brazil to lead in beef exports for the sixth consecutive year and account for 22% of global beef exports in 2022. The country's beef and processed product sales in March saw a 57% surge, generating USD 1,124 million. Despite a temporary hiccup in trade with China, the US has emerged as Brazil's top market, with beef exports to the US surging by 131% in 2021. Overall, beef exports from the top four countries, including the US, India, and Australia, are projected to increase by 14.2% in 2022, contributing to approximately 60% of the total global beef exports.
