A truck carrying 8 ostrich chicks was stopped at the Gürbulak Customs Gate in Turkey, leading to an investigation into smuggling charges. The chicks, found in plastic baskets in the truck's cabinets, were being transported under potentially suffocating conditions. The animals were taken into protection by the Ağrı Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, and an investigation has been initiated by the Doğubayazıt Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
