In the first half of the 2022/23 market year, the European Union (EU) has experienced a record-high export of sunflower oil. Out of the total volume, 318 thousand tons were shipped between April and June, with the main consumers being Iraq, India, Morocco, and South Africa. Additionally, the EU has significantly increased its export of rapeseed oil, with 562 thousand tons being shipped since the beginning of the market year, primarily to China, Norway, and Pakistan. However, there has been a slight decrease in the export of soybean oil from EU countries, with shipments mainly going to Morocco, other African nations, and the UK.
