Despite the challenges of saline soil and the need for suitable plant varieties, the easy cultivation and high yield of acerola make it a crucial crop for poverty alleviation. However, increasing costs and fluctuating market prices pose challenges to profitability. The article emphasizes the importance of investing in clean and safe acerola production according to VietGAP standards, with the government supporting training, science, technology transfer, and the use of suitable fertilizers and drugs. It also underscores the need for post-harvest and processing technology development to enhance the market value of acerola-based products like wine, jam, and juice, creating job opportunities and enhancing local income.
