Agricultural Director Akar's Sweet Preparation for Winter

Ahmet Akar, Agricultural and Forestry Director of Sarıgöl District in Manisa, started producing mulberry molasses and pestil using traditional methods with his family during his annual leave in Sapaca Neighborhood of Uzundere District in his hometown of Erzurum. Noting that he prepared a total of 50 kilograms of mulberry molasses for three families during his leave, Akar said, "We make our molasses completely naturally, in a pesticide-free environment, and by boiling it over juniper wood fire. Additionally, I produce pestil from approximately 10 kilograms of molasses. In Sarıgöl, I will also prepare grape molasses. We have already started our winter preparations."
