The Ministry of Agriculture in Egypt has reported a significant import of European potato seeds since the start of the import season on December 1st, with over 122 thousand tons received from nine countries. The main suppliers include Scotland, which imported 50 thousand tons, followed by the Netherlands with 38.2 thousand tons, France with 16.1 thousand tons, and Denmark with 9412 tons. Other countries like Germany, Belgium, Austria, Poland, and Luxembourg also contributed to the imports, with Germany alone importing 5350 tons. This import activity is crucial for Egypt's agricultural sector, with a total of 111 approved seed types.
