The international agrochemical market is facing strong pressure on production costs, directly reflecting on prices and the supply of inputs. According to agronomist Rafael Gomes, the analysis based on data from industry partners and FOB China prices points out that the Chinese scenario has a central role in the formation of global prices. The increase in costs is the result of multiple factors: Various raw materials already show a significant increase, including phenol, bromine, sulfur, methanol, isopropanol, diethanolamine, as well as solvents and adjuvants used in formulations.
