Brazil's corn production and exports are projected to hit record highs in the 2022/23 season, with an estimated harvest of 125.5 million tonnes and potential shipments of 51.9 million tonnes, according to Agroconsult. However, the projected harvest is lower than the January estimate due to unconfirmed growth for the planting area of the second crop. The total cereal area is expected to slightly decrease by 0.8% year-on-year. Despite this, the corn production projection is 6.2% higher than the previous season. With increased corn supply and strong international demand, Brazil is expected to export more than 50 million tons. Meanwhile, the soybean harvest in Brazil for the same season is estimated to reach 155 million tons, up from a previous projection of 153 million tons.
