Spain: AILIMPO projects production of 1,035,000 tons of lemon in the 2021-2022 campaign

Lemons ranks as one of the most exported fruits in Europe, especially in Spain. The Interprofessional Association of Lemon and Grapefruit (AILIMPO) affirmed that in September a new lemons harvest campaign began with good quality and with a lower production compared to previous years, but prepared to consolidate its clear leadership in the market. In that path, José Hernández, president of AILIMPO said: "We are prepared to face any vicissitude, with a sustainable production and a productive system that protects and respects the environment."
