In October, US dairy product exports saw a 16% increase in volume and a 12% increase in value compared to the same period last year, totaling 201.9 thousand tons and $5.54 billion respectively. This growth is largely due to strong sales in Asia, particularly to China, which accounts for 48% of US whey exports. Despite this, the surge in cheese prices has negatively affected export performance, with a notable 46% decrease in exports to Mexico in October. However, there has been growth in cheese exports to Japan, South Korea, and Chile. Catfish exports to the Asia-Pacific region also saw an increase, with the Philippines experiencing a 137% growth in US COM shipments.
