Apricot harvest has started in Iğdır, Turkey

The harvest of apricot, the most important agricultural product of Iğdır, where many vegetables and fruits are grown with its geographical location and climate, has begun. The apricots that the garden owners and workers climb up the trees with ladders and collect are stuffed into crates. Geographically marked apricots of Iğdır find buyers between 6 and 9 liras in the orchard. The price of the apricot collected by the agricultural workers from Mersin also pleases the producers. Apricots, which are loaded on trucks from the field, are sent to the surrounding provinces and districts, especially to metropolitan cities such as Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Bursa and Erzurum.
