According to EastFruit analysts, Armenia has recently joined the club of large regional exporters of fresh apples. Following Georgia, which has turned from a large net importer of apples into an exporter, Armenia exported more than 2.7 thousand tons of products in 2020, sharply increasing supplies. In 2021, Armenia is likely to renew its apple export record again. in the first 7 months of the year, it has already exported almost as many products as in the whole of 2020. Moreover, if we compare the export of apples from Armenia in January-July 2021 with the same period in 2020, then the volume of supplies increased by 4.7 times.
