Aronia production in the Bafra Plain of Samsun is increasing every year.
Young producer Okan Kilitci will harvest the first yield of the aronia saplings he planted in his 5-dönüm field in Koşu Köyü Mahallesi on September 1, 2022.
Kilitci stated that he started aronia cultivation 4 years ago, saying, "Aronia strengthens immunity with its high antioxidant and vitamin content, provides benefits in combating diabetes. It also draws attention with its properties that slow down the effects of aging."
In recent years, aronia, known as the "super fruit," has attracted the interest of producers due to its rich content of vitamins C, B, E, as well as potassium, magnesium, and fiber.
