Fishermen note that the public has turned back to fish following the drop in the price of anchovies. Fisherman Vedat Kalmaz stated that the drop in the price of anchovies to around 100 to 150 TL has been positively received by the public, and thus anchovies are in demand. "When the price of anchovies dropped to 100 TL, they became more preferred by citizens. Currently, our business is going very well, this year there has been a plentiful catch of anchovies, but the prices remain stable, fluctuating between 100 and 150 TL," he said.
