Between January and February 2021, Colombia's dairy exports, including powdered milk and other dairy derivatives, saw a significant increase, doubling compared to the same period in 2020, and reaching the highest levels since 2010. The total exported tons was 824, with an FOB value of USD 2,779,000, marking a 90% increase in revenue from the previous year. Whole milk powder was the most exported product, but there was a notable increase in fresh cheese, other cheeses, butter, yogurt, condensed milk, and skim milk powder. Russia was the primary recipient of these exports, followed by the United States, Chile, Aruba, Curaçao, and several other countries. The top five companies responsible for these exports were Cooperativa Colanta, Alpina, Bufalabella, Nestlé de Colombia, and Asesores Aduaneros & Logística Internacional S.A.S.
