Currently, preventive measures are being carried out among agricultural animals in Kyrgyzstan, reports the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources. According to the Ministry, some biological preparations are provided by the state free of charge. These include vaccines against foot-and-mouth disease, brucellosis, rabies, anthrax, as well as against smallpox and the plague of small ruminants. Tablets are issued against echinococcosis. However, the owner of the animal is responsible for paying the veterinarian who administers the vaccination. At the same time, vaccines against a number of diseases are paid for by the animal owners. These include leptospirosis, pasteurellosis, nodular dermatitis, EMC (karasan), brazhot, caprine pleuropneumonia, equine rhinopneumonia, swine fever, swine erysipelas, as well as vaccines for poultry (La Sota, Newcastle disease, Marek's disease), canine distemper, anti-ectoparasitic agents, and deworming preparations.
