Beef exports have seen a significant increase of 27% in November 2023, reaching 118,878 tonnes, with the United States being the primary market. There was also a notable growth in exports to Southeast Asian countries like Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. In contrast, lamb exports experienced a 9% decline, totaling 27,183 tonnes, while mutton exports rose by 42% to 28,249 tonnes. The US, United Arab Emirates, and China were the main markets for lamb and mutton. Overall, Australia's beef and sheepmeat exports have surpassed previous records, with a strong likelihood of setting new highs for the year.
