Avocado Yearbook 2022 reveals significant increase in exports for this season in Chile

Avocado exports from the southern hemisphere and Mexico have shown a significant increase this season, with a percentage increase of 29% in the volume sent by these suppliers. This is how iQonsulting announces it in its "Yearbook 2022: International Avocado Market", with the aim of providing updated information on exports and prices obtained in various markets for this fruit. The first place is held by Mexico with a 58.4% share, managing to dispatch a total volume of 1,227,070 tons during this year. Peru, for its part, holds second place with a 25.2% share in exports, and with a total volume shipped in the last season of 557,010 tons. Chile has remained in third place with a 6% share in shipments and a total export volume of 126,508 tons of avocado. The main Chilean export and production variety is Hass, with a 99.7% share among the varieties produced.
