Azerbaijan receives support from Turkey for vegetable and fruit cultivation

Turkey is a role model for the advancement of vegetable and fruit cultivation in the Lankaran-Astara Economic Region, one of the 14 economic regions of AZERBAIJAN. The high-level delegation from Azerbaijan aims to examine potatoes in Niğde, agricultural equipment in Konya, and strawberries and citrus fruits in Antalya, and to produce similar products. Antalya, Turkey's greenhouse fresh fruit and vegetable production center, also attracts attention with its citrus production and export. Batı Akdeniz Agricultural Research Institute Directorate (BATEM) is carrying out R&D studies to diversify these products. In this context; R&D support is also provided to the private sector in terms of product diversity and efficiency of the products grown. In addition to Turkey, BATEM's work is followed closely from abroad.
