The Baliknesir Metropolitan Municipality in Turkey has distributed 1,375 kilograms of badalan bean seeds to 24 farmers in the Balya district, with the aim of planting them over 200 decares of land. This initiative is part of the municipality's wider efforts to support agriculture and rural development in the region, and is in collaboration with the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. The municipality has provided support to the value of 15 million lira to producers in 2021, and plans to increase this support in 2022. The badalan bean is a productive and suitable product for the climatic conditions of Baliknesir, and the municipality is branding the city by supporting products unique to the city and region.
